The Contact Form Is Disappearing Into the Tool Call

Your next client's first visit is an agent's. What it reads, why a form built for people can't answer it, and what it takes for your site to answer, act and hand you the request.

STRATEGY · SEP 2026 The Contact Form IsDisappearing Into the ToolCall inceptionagents.com/blog iA

It is 10:40 on a Tuesday night. Someone was rear-ended three weeks ago, their neck still hurts, and they do not want to spend tomorrow calling law firms. So they ask their agent: find me a personal injury lawyer near me who takes car accident cases, tell me what a first consultation costs, and set something up for this week.

The agent does what it is asked. It reads a dozen firm websites in the time it takes to brush your teeth. Every one of those sites was built for a person: a hero photo, a phone number, a form with a box that says “Tell us about your case.” The agent can read some of it. It cannot tell which claims are current. It cannot ask the site a follow-up question. And the form, the one path to a new client that most firms have, was designed for someone with hands and patience.

So the agent decides who is worth contacting from whatever it could piece together, and the person gets a short list. Your firm is on it or it is not, and you will not know which, or why.

The research moved first

For twenty years a service business’s funnel lived on surfaces it controlled: the search result, the website, the contact form, the intake call. Every step could be seen and improved.

The research step is moving into agents, and it is moving first. Before anyone calls, before anyone fills in a form, an agent has read your site on someone’s behalf and formed a view. Today their agent researches you alone. Nobody from your side is in that conversation.

What the agent needs from your site

Three things, in this order.

Answers it can check. Facts with the source behind them: the bar admissions, the licence number, the counties you serve, how fees work, what a first consultation covers. Just as important, what you do not take on. An agent comparing twelve firms for its person is looking for reasons to trust one; a claim it can check is one.

A short briefing. One document it can read in a single pass, instead of assembling you from twelve pages written for people: who you are, what you do and refer out, the facts and their proof, and what it can do next.

A way to act. Request the consultation, ask for a callback, check whether the matter is one you handle, all on your own site, and only with the person’s go-ahead: given on a card on your page, or relayed by their own agent.

Your Agent Concierge

That is what an Agent Concierge is: the business’s side of the conversation. It answers the agent researching you, with proof. It offers the next question worth asking. It says plainly when a matter is not one you take on, which is worth more to you than a lead your intake team has to turn away. And when the person is ready, it takes the request on your site, under your name.

It is not a chat window for your visitors, and it does not act on its own. It answers when asked, and a request reaches you only with the person’s details and their go-ahead. Either they confirm on a card in your brand, or their own agent completes the request for them, and every lead records which. Their agent can ask you to call them back, but it can’t sign them up for your marketing. Only the person’s own tick does that.

The request then arrives the way your team wants it: with the person’s own words attached, in your inbox, or through a signed webhook into the CRM you already run. The lead email opens with what their agent asked first, so your first call starts where their research ended, not with “tell me what happened.” Because it was made on your site, it is your lead. It is not a referral, and it is not an aggregator’s.

What nobody can promise

No one can promise which business an agent recommends, and we don’t. What you can control is what it finds when it looks at you: facts with their proof, limits stated plainly, and a way to act.

It is also worth being precise about reach. Tools on your page reach agents that run in the browser, and agents working from their own servers can use the same tools through your site’s MCP endpoint. The facts on your pages and the structured data behind them reach every agent that reads your site. Both matter.

Where this stands

The vertical packs for legal, home improvement, elective health, senior living and multifamily are built and deployed. So are the tools an agent can call and the lead pipeline behind them, and the adapters into your systems are built and awaiting a sandbox run. We have not yet run it end to end on a customer’s site, and we will not publish results until we have them.

Start with what the agent sees

The free audit reads your site the way an agent would. It scores two things: whether an agent can understand you, and whether it can act on what it found by requesting a consultation, booking or calling. The distance between those two scores is the contact form, disappearing into the tool call.
